Caitlin Leddy is the recipient the 2008 Dallas Ohio State Alumni Club Scholarship
After MUCH deliberation, the scholarship committee awarded our 2008 scholarship to Caitlin Leddy from Grapevine High School. This year's candidates were the best ever, and this was a very difficult decision. In addition to her great qualifications, Caitlin has confirmed that she will be attending OSU.
Our club is proud to offer scholarship funds to outstanding local students who have been accepted at Ohio State and are committed to attending.
Funds for the scholarship program are generated in a variety of ways:
Each winter, scholarship applications are mailed to high school seniors in the Dallas/Fort Worth area who have been accepted to OSU and who are in the top 25% of their high school class. Applications are evaluated by the club’s scholarship committee for academic excellence, community service, leadership and commitment to Ohio State. If a candidate is selected, he or she is awarded a scholarship that can be renewed each year if certain academic requirements are met.
How do we find students? We participate at high school college fairs, deliver information to school counselors and rely on YOU to let us know if your son or daughter or the child of a friend or colleague is interested in Ohio State.
